Always Trust Your Gut
How I came to live in Utah began September 23, 2020. I was about to turn 48 years old and I was still alive. Why?? My father and brother passed at 47 years of age. Within a few short years approaching 47, I had experienced a great deal of death, a divorce and overall dispair and hopelessness. I was busy dying and no longer living. I got on my knees and prayed and prayed. I had a strong impression Utah was where I was supposed to be. That was 5 years ago.
Alone I packed my jeep and drove west 2038 miles from Philadelphia, PA to Park City, UT in less than 40 hours - I do not advise doing. I was very excited with the prospect of snowboarding for six months during Covid when everyone was working remotely including myself on contract with Fortune 50 Co. Little did I know my life would change forever when I met Cynthia Pauole. She was everything I needed, she gave me hope, she gave me strength and she helped me find my faith and testimony once again. She was beated down also, but she believed, she believed and still does that things will get better, we will heal, we will move on.
Cynthia and I have been happily married for almost 5 years now. Life still has it’s ups and downs but isnt that what makes it interesting! If I hadn’t “Trusted my Gut” and drove to Utah I would probably be dead now.
