What’s Hot in Paint for 2026 — A Guide from Color Pop Paint Co
What’s Hot in Paint for 2026 — A Guide from Color Pop Paint Co
As we head into 2026, the paint world is embracing a richer, more grounded — yet still expressive — approach. After years of grays, stark whites, and minimalism, designers and homeowners are shifting toward palettes inspired by nature, warmth, and personality. Here’s a look at the biggest paint and color trends shaping homes this year — and how Color Pop Paint Co. can help you bring them to life.
Trend 1: Earth & Nature-Inspired Hues (Greens, Browns, Terracottas)
Why it’s trending
2026 is all about reconnecting with nature. Many homeowners are looking for colors that evoke calm, warmth, and a sense of groundedness. Warm greens, earthy browns, and soft terracottas deliver exactly that. DeHaan Painting+3bostonpaintandpower.com+3Homes and Gardens+3
Key colors to watch
Deep Greens — From olive and sage to “smoky jade” and eucalyptus-inspired shades. Soft greens create a serene, spa-like atmosphere that’s ideal for bedrooms, home offices, or cozy corners. The Paint Color Project+2PAINT CORPS®+2
Warm Browns & Greige — Expect chocolate, taupe, and warm greige (a mix of gray-beige) to replace the cooler, sterile grays of past years. These tones add richness and softness without dominating the room. bostonpaintandpower.com+2AOL+2
Terracotta & Clay — Warm, sun-baked tones inspired by earth and Mediterranean architecture. Terracotta and rust-inflected shades bring warmth, depth, and a homely, grounded feel — especially beautiful in living rooms, kitchens or accent walls. AOL+2bostonpaintandpower.com+2
“Muted botanicals with warmth built in” are becoming a foundation for modern interiors. DeHaan Painting+1
Why this works
These colors pair beautifully with natural materials (wood, rattan, linen), and help interiors feel calm, organic, and timeless — a welcome shift away from colder, more clinical palettes.
Trend 2: Moody Blues & Teal — Calm, Sophisticated, Versatile
While warm earth tones dominate, 2026 also brings a renewed love for blues — but in deeper, moodier, and more versatile shades. Homes and Gardens+2PAINT CORPS®+2
Teal and jewel-toned blues offer a rich balance between serenity and statement. These tones are especially popular in spaces where you want calm but also depth — think bedrooms, home offices, bathrooms, or accent walls. Homes and Gardens+2Good Housekeeping+2
Even traditional navy is getting a makeover, shifting from cold monochrome toward more dynamic, layered blues that reflect changing light and mood throughout the day. Good Housekeeping+1
Trend 3: Soft Neutrals, Muted Pastels & Pink-Leanings
2026 isn’t all about bold — sometimes subtlety wins. Many interiors are leaning toward soft neutrals, gentle pastels, and pink-tinged beiges or clay tones, offering a cozy and modern alternative to stark white or cool grays. Veranda+2House Beautiful+2
These colors work especially well in spaces where comfort and calm are key — think living rooms, master bedrooms, or entire homes where you want a cohesive, serene base. Veranda+2Good Housekeeping+2
Muted lavender, dusty plum, and soft rose also make an appearance — perfect for those who want a hint of personality without overwhelming a space. bostonpaintandpower.com+2AOL+2
Trend 4: Rich Reds & Sultry Warm Hues — For Depth, Drama & Sophistication
For those ready to make a bold statement — 2026 embraces sultry reds, deep carmines, and burgundy-leaning tones. These rich hues are less about vibrancy and more about warmth, depth, and timeless drama. Veranda+2AOL+2
Used as feature walls, cabinetry, or accent pieces, these reds bring character, sensuality, and a sense of history — especially when paired with natural woods and warm metallic accents. Veranda+2AOL+2
Pro designers describe these hues as “earthy” and “reassuring” — grounding the space while still giving it personality. Veranda+1
Trend 5: Warm Whites & Creamy Neutrals — The New Base
White isn’t going away — but it’s evolving. In 2026, the trend is shifting away from stark, cool whites toward warmer, creamier whites and off-whites. These neutrals act less like blank slates and more like soft canvases, providing warmth and cohesion without overpowering. bostonpaintandpower.com+2PAINT CORPS®+2
These warmer whites are ideal for trim, ceilings, and full rooms — especially homes with warm-toned decor, wood furniture, and earthy materials. They help tie together the more expressive colors of trends 1–4 in a balanced, timeless way. PAINT CORPS®+1
How Color Pop Paint Co. Can Help You Get the Look
At Color Pop Paint Co., we believe your home should reflect not only trends — but your story. Here’s how you can use 2026’s big paint directions:
Create anchored, cozy rooms: Use deep greens, earthy browns, or terracotta for living rooms or bedrooms to foster warmth and comfort.
Make a statement: Try moody teal or sultry burgundy for accent walls or cabinetry when you want depth and drama.
Keep it soft and timeless: For whole-home palettes, warm whites and muted neutrals offer longevity and flexibility with changing decor.
Layer colors thoughtfully: Combine a soft neutral base with tonal accents (greens, blues, muted reds) and natural textures to create a rich, lived-in aesthetic.
Plus, you don’t have to commit to bold color across an entire home — start small! Accent walls, cabinetry, or even small powder rooms are perfect for experimenting without overwhelming a space.
Final Thought
2026’s greatest shift is emotional: homeowners and designers are looking to build spaces that feel grounded, personal, and timeless — not trendy for trend’s sake. Whether you lean toward calm greens, dramatic teals, cozy terracottas, or soft neutrals, the soul of the year’s palette is comfort, warmth, and authenticity.
As your go-to paint partner, Color Pop Paint Co. is excited to help you explore these palettes — whether you want a dramatic refresh or a subtle update. Let’s turn your 2026 home into a place that’s not only on-trend, but undeniably “you.”

What your color selection says about your IQ
Understanding the Spectrum of Colors and IQ: A Colorful Journey with Color Pop Paint Co.
At Color Pop Paint Co., we believe in the vibrant connection between creativity and intelligence. Just as every color has its unique personality, so do individuals across the IQ spectrum. In this blog post, we'll explore how various colors can represent different IQ levels, creating a colorful metaphor for intelligence. Let's dive into this imaginative concept!
The Low IQ Spectrum: Earthy Tones
Individuals on the lower end of the IQ scale often embody characteristics such as practicality and groundedness. Colors like brown and muted olive can represent this group. These earthy tones resonate with the solid foundation and reliability often attributed to these individuals. They may excel in hands-on skills, showcasing that intelligence is not only determined by traditional measures.
The Average IQ Range: Warm Pastels
As we move into the average IQ range, we find ourselves in a world of soft pastels and warm hues. Peach, soft yellow, and light green are colors that exude friendliness and sociability. These shades reflect a balanced approach to life and learning. Individuals in this spectrum often demonstrate versatility and adaptability, thriving in environments that foster collaboration and creative problem-solving.
The Above Average IQ Spectrum: Bold and Bright Colors
Venturing into the above-average IQ range, we see a shift to more vibrant and bold colors like turquoise, royal blue, and bright orange. These colors evoke confidence, energy, and a sense of innovation. Individuals within this group often exhibit creative thinking and strong analytical skills, making them natural leaders in brainstorming sessions and problem-solving scenarios.
The High IQ Spectrum: Deep and Rich Hues
At the pinnacle of the IQ scale, deep and rich hues like indigo, emerald green, and burgundy represent individuals with high intelligence. These colors symbolize depth, wisdom, and complexity. High IQ individuals often show exceptional reasoning abilities and a nuanced understanding of complex concepts. They are the thinkers, the innovators, and the visionaries who push the boundaries of conventional thought.
Embracing the Full Spectrum
While it can be tempting to categorize individuals based on color and IQ, it's essential to recognize that intelligence is multifaceted. Just as colors can blend and create new shades, intelligence comes in many forms—emotional intelligence, creative intelligence, and practical intelligence, to name a few.
Conclusion
At Color Pop Paint Co., we celebrate diversity in all its forms, including the beautiful spectrum of intelligence. Whether you identify with earthy tones or deep hues, there’s a color for everyone – and each hue represents a unique journey and potential. As you choose colors for your space, allow them to inspire and motivate you, reminding you that every shade contributes to the rich tapestry of human experience.

Why Painter’s Tape Is a Pro’s Best Friend
Why Painter’s Tape Is a Pro’s Best Friend
Color Pop Paint Co.
When most people think of professional painting, they picture flawless brushwork, high-end paint, and years of experience behind every stroke. And while all of that is true, there’s one unsung hero that every pro relies on—painter’s tape. It may look simple, but it’s one of the most important tools in any painter’s kit.
At Color Pop Paint Co., we trust painter’s tape not because we need help staying inside the lines, but because using it is the difference between a “good” finish and a jaw-dropping, clean-cut, magazine-worthy result.
1. Painter’s Tape Protects the Parts You Don’t Want Painted
Trim, ceilings, baseboards, hardware, window frames—painter’s tape shields everything that should stay paint-free.
Pros know that even the steadiest hand can’t beat a barrier that physically prevents mistakes.
It’s not about skill—it’s about efficiency and insurance.
2. Straight Lines Every Single Time
Painter’s tape creates razor-sharp lines that are nearly impossible to achieve freehand, especially on textured surfaces or long runs, like around a whole room.
From two-tone accent walls to crisp ceiling edges, tape ensures precision, not guesswork.
3. It Speeds Up the Job
Many DIYers assume tape slows things down. Professionals know the opposite is true.
By taping efficiently at the beginning, we:
paint faster
worry less about stray drips
skip tedious touch-ups at the end
A clean prep stage = a smooth, stress-free paint job.
4. Tape Helps Control Bleed-Through
High-quality painter’s tape is engineered to seal firmly but gently. That means minimal paint creep and no peeling paint when removed.
We pair painter’s tape with the right brushing techniques to ensure crisp borders that melt into the wall—not into your trim.
5. It Allows for Creativity and Advanced Finishes
Stripes, geometric shapes, murals, accent patterns—none of these are possible without tape.
Painter’s tape is basically the stencil of the modern paint world, unlocking designs that are impossible freehand.
6. Clean Removal = Clean Results
The best part? Good tape comes off smoothly without pulling up fresh paint or leaving sticky residue.
That means a tidy workspace and spotless final reveal—just the way pros like it.
Final Takeaway
Painter’s tape isn’t for amateurs—it’s for professionals who refuse to compromise on quality.
At Color Pop Paint Co., we use painter’s tape because it helps us deliver the crisp, clean, high-end finish our clients expect every time.
If you want your next paint job to look as sharp as the pros', start with the same secret weapon: great tape and proper prep.

What Your Front Door Color Says About You
What Your Front Door Color Says About You
By Color Pop Paint Co.
When guests approach your home, the very first detail that greets them isn’t the landscaping, the porch light, or even the welcome mat—it’s your front door. At Color Pop Paint Co., we believe color is one of the most powerful forms of self-expression, and your front door might be saying more about your personality than you realize.
Below, we break down what different front-door colors reveal about the people who live behind them—and maybe help you decide which color speaks for you.
Red: The Confident Host
A red front door has long symbolized prosperity, energy, and warmth. Homeowners who choose this bold hue are typically outgoing, enthusiastic, and love being social. If your door is red, chances are you enjoy making others feel welcome—and you’re not afraid to make a statement.
Blue: Calm, Trustworthy, and Centered
From soft sky blue to deep navy, blue is consistently associated with peace and stability. A blue front door suggests the homeowner values harmony and calm. You’re likely grounded, dependable, and drawn to a sense of serenity in your space.
Yellow: Cheerful and Creative
A yellow front door beams optimism. This color radiates warmth, creativity, and curiosity. Homeowners who choose yellow often have an artistic side and love homes filled with ideas, joy, and natural light. It’s a fearless, smile-inducing choice for those who want to spread positivity.
Green: Balanced and Nature-Loving
Green is the color of growth, renewal, and balance. If your front door is green, you’re probably down-to-earth, environmentally conscious, and appreciate a sense of order. You love spaces that feel healthy and harmonious—and you’re often the steady, reliable friend in your circle.
Black: Sophisticated, Strong, and Modern
A black door is both timeless and chic. Homeowners who favor this color often appreciate elegance and simplicity. Choosing black suggests you’re confident, refined, and value structure and style. It’s a classic for a reason.
White: Clean, Organized, Minimalist
A white front door signals simplicity and a love of order. You’re likely neat, organized, and drawn to bright, crisp spaces. Homeowners who choose white tend to prefer clarity and clean lines, and they bring a fresh, airy vibe to their home.
Pink: Playful and Boldly Individual
Pink isn’t just for nurseries—it’s becoming a standout exterior choice. A pink front door reflects a joyful, free-spirited personality. You appreciate whimsy, fun, and individuality. It’s a fearless, expressive choice that shows you’re not afraid to color outside the lines.
Gray: Balanced and Thoughtful
A gray door strikes a perfect middle ground between bold and neutral. Homeowners with gray doors tend to be thoughtful, practical, and balanced. You appreciate classic style but aren’t afraid to add subtle personality.
Turquoise or Teal: Adventurous and Open-Minded
These vibrant blue-green shades evoke feelings of tropical breezes and artistic flair. If you’ve chosen turquoise or teal, you’re probably adventurous, optimistic, and full of fresh ideas. Your home is a place of creativity and welcoming energy.

Whether your current front door color feels spot-on—or you’re realizing it no longer fits your personality—Color Pop Paint Co. is here to help you express yourself authentically. Because painting a front door isn’t just a design update… it’s a reflection of your story.

Paint Perfection = 90% Preparation + 10% Application
At Color Pop Paint Co., we believe stunning paint starts long before the first brushstroke.
Proper preparation is the secret ingredient that transforms an ordinary project into a flawless, long-lasting finish. From meticulous surface cleaning and sanding to precise patching, priming, and protection of your space, our prep process ensures that every color pops exactly the way it should.
When surfaces are smooth, clean, and sanded, paint adheres better, lasts longer, and looks richer. Skipping the prep? That’s when peeling, bubbling, and dull color creep in. But at Color Pop Paint Co., we don’t cut corners—we perfect them.
Before a single drop of paint is used, we make sure your space is set up for success.
Because beautiful color isn’t luck… it’s preparation.

Boosting Curb Appeal: Why a Fresh Coat of Paint Outshines Every Other Home Project
By Color Pop Paint Co.
When it comes to boosting curb appeal, homeowners often jump to landscaping, lighting, or even full-scale renovations. But at Color Pop Paint Co, we know the secret: nothing transforms a home’s exterior faster, more affordably, or more dramatically than a fresh coat of paint. It’s the quickest path from “just another house” to “the standout on the block.”
Here’s why exterior paint beats every other curb-appeal project—every single time.
1. Instant, High-Impact Transformation
Painting your home’s exterior delivers a before-and-after effect unlike any other upgrade. Whether your siding looks weathered, the trim is fading, or your entryway feels uninspired, a fresh color instantly makes your home look newer, cleaner, and well cared for.
Other projects—like redoing a walkway or planting shrubs—add charm, but none reset the entire visual identity of your home the way paint does.
2. The Most Cost-Effective Renovation
Exterior painting offers one of the highest returns on investment in home improvement. Compared to the cost of replacing siding, installing stonework, or redesigning landscaping, paint delivers a massive aesthetic upgrade at a fraction of the price.
In terms of curb appeal per dollar spent, nothing competes with a professionally applied exterior paint job.
3. Protection + Beauty in One Project
A fresh coat of high-quality paint doesn’t just look good—it works for your home. It protects surfaces from sun, moisture, pests, mold, and seasonal temperature changes.
While landscaping or outdoor décor may fade, deteriorate, or require constant replacement, a professionally painted exterior keeps your home shielded for years.
4. Better First Impressions—Instantly
Whether you're welcoming neighbors, hosting family, or preparing to sell your home, first impressions matter. Exterior paint is the most effective way to create a polished, memorable appearance.
Buyers see a well-painted home as well-maintained, meaning you may not only attract more interest but also increase your home’s value in the process.
5. Customized Style That Sets Your Home Apart
A home’s exterior color tells a story—modern sophistication, classic elegance, coastal calm, farmhouse charm, you name it. With thousands of colors and finishes, you can express your personal style or align with neighborhood trends.
At Color Pop Paint Co, our color experts help homeowners choose palettes that elevate architecture, complement landscaping, and showcase their property’s best features.
6. The Easiest Way to Love Your Home Again
There are few upgrades that make you look forward to pulling into your driveway. But paint? It can make you fall in love with your home all over again. A new color brings energy, personality, and pride—and you get to enjoy that feeling every single day.
✨ Ready to Add Some Color Pop to Your Curb Appeal?
If you're looking for a project that offers dramatic results, protects your investment, and instantly elevates the look of your home, exterior painting is the clear winner.
At Color Pop Paint Co, we specialize in flawless finishes, long-lasting durability, and color choices that elevate homes to their full potential. Whether you’re refreshing your forever home or prepping to sell, we’re here to make your exterior shine.

Thanksgiving 2025
It all begins with an idea.
Maybe I am different in that I wish everyone success and happiness in life. I want the best for everyone - I truly do. I wish everyone could have everything they want and desire. Fortunately, we only have what we need - when we we need it. No more no less. Some people have had nothing and now they have everything. Some people may have had everything and now they have nothing.
I am grateful for those in my life who have loved me no matter what!
I hope 2026 is your best year ever.

Always Trust Your Gut
It all begins with an idea.
How I came to live in Utah began September 23, 2020. I was about to turn 48 years old and I was still alive. Why?? My father and brother passed at 47 years of age. Within a few short years approaching 47, I had experienced a great deal of death, a divorce and overall dispair and hopelessness. I was busy dying and no longer living. I got on my knees and prayed and prayed. I had a strong impression Utah was where I was supposed to be. That was 5 years ago.
Alone I packed my jeep and drove west 2038 miles from Philadelphia, PA to Park City, UT. Excited with the prospect of snowboarding for six months during Covid when everyone was working remotely including myself on contract with a Fortune 50 Co. Little did I know my life would change forever when I met my wife Cynthia Cope. She was everything I needed, she gave me hope, she gave me strength and she helped me find my faith and testimony once again. She was beated down also, but she believed, she believed and still does that things will get better, we will heal, we will move on.
Cynthia and I have been happily married for almost 5 years now. Life still has it’s ups and downs but isnt that what makes it interesting! If I hadn’t “Trusted my Gut” and drove to Utah I would probably be dead now.

The Wonderful Club
It all begins with an idea.
My Grandfather Clem Plocinik organized the “Wonderful Club” which had no meetings and no dues. The only purpose of the club was to get people to think positively. Clem believed that if you responded to “How are you?? by always saying “Wonderful,” that you would indeed feel wonderful. The club had more than 200 members, mainly customers and salesman of his butcher shop and was written in the local newspapers.
